The goals and guidelines are anchored in the management and implemented in the organization through our instructions and established routines. Certex Norge AS has developed a tailored risk assessment process used to identify and manage any risks related to sustainability and social responsibility. This includes collaborating with suppliers and partners to ensure their business also meets the same standards, as well as dialogue with stakeholders to ensure that practices and initiatives for sustainability and social responsibility are effective and meet the highest standards. Certex Norge AS regularly communicates our sustainability initiatives and progress in this area through public reports and other channels.
The work is based on systematic mapping and risk assessment, as well as ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the company's, suppliers', supply chain's, and partners' impact on the environment, society, and human rights. Below is a summary showing the status of our key indicators in 2024:
Reports on Due Diligence Assessments
Certex Norge continuously works to map and analyze identified risks related to any negative impacts on fundamental human rights and decent working conditions. Our analyses are regularly updated, and any new issues that are uncovered are evaluated continuously. Any changes in the risk landscape are captured through our supplier analyses, and for any new connections, these are qualified in accordance with our procedures before they are potentially approved and introduced into the business.
Certex Norge's overall assessment of the risk landscape is presented below. By risk, we mean the likelihood that there are negative conditions that violate fundamental human rights or decent working conditions. Based on our analyses, the initial focus has been on implementing due diligence assessments related to our suppliers and supply chains. The first priority in this work has been to gather information from any actors in risk countries, as defined by our parent company Axel Johnson through their "Guideline for Sustainability in Supply Chain 2.2".
Certex Norge has implemented due diligence assessments based on identified risks for negative impacts on human rights and decent working conditions. The assessments carried out so far have not revealed any actual negative consequences. The goal is for all approved suppliers and business partners of Certex Norge to sign our Code of Conduct (CoC), and for all high-risk cases, a due diligence assessment will be conducted.
