Area of use
Your new CGS fire extinguisher contains an ABC powder intended for extinguishing fires in various materials such as wood, paper, fabrics, flammable liquids, and chemicals. The extinguisher can also be used for fires involving electrical installations up to 1000 volts. When extinguishing fires involving electrical installations, you should maintain a safety distance of at least 1 meter.
Typical areas of use include industry, public facilities, workshops, agriculture, maritime, offshore, transportation, vehicles, recreational boats, and other places where high performance is crucial. Powder fire extinguishers are the preferred choice for residences.
The fire extinguisher is PFAS free, surfactant free, and fluorine free.
Function of the agent
The ABC powder chemically reacts with the fire, preventing the chemical chain reactions on which the fire relies. The powder also helps smother the fire by displacing oxygen. To prevent the fire from reigniting, especially in materials like wood, paper, and fabric, it may be necessary to follow up with water after extinguishing
Placement
The extinguisher comes with a mounting bracket for wall installation. If the extinguisher is to be placed outdoors or in a heavily contaminated environment, it should be housed in a special fire extinguisher cabinet. The extinguisher should be positioned in a highly visible and easily accessible location.
